Euro Dog Show 201430-10-2014 - 16:44

Wonderful days we had in Brno. Please take your time to read the written below, sorry for the "long talk" but so many things and feelings I would like to share :)

Where do we begin?... From the beginng, I guess. Early Friday morning everything was set and ready to go, and we started our 13-hour drive to Brno at 6:00. We had some stops during the way due to queue and resting the dogs, but we arrived safely around 19:00. We were welcomed by good friends whos was waiting for us in the resturant and after taking the dogs for a long walk, we started the dinner.

On Saturday morning we went to the showground, as it turned out our hotel was located just 100 meter from avenue, so it was a easy walk. We located the rings and spend a few hours looking at the national show judgement. Back to the hotel to begin the washing of our 3 dogs. Actually we entered 5, but two of our girls was in heat, and as we were going in one car and was living in one room with two males, it wasn't possible for us to bring "Frida" who was entered in open class and "Betty" who was in junior.
We were invited to spend the evening with our sponsors EuUKANUBA ~the best team ever~ with whom we had a rahter... fun and interesting dinner :) Afterwards we joined more friends in the bar at the hotel before we went of to bed.

5:00 Sunday morning the alarm went off! Up we went, and even with one more hour due to wintertime, it was still far to early. A quick drive to the avenue and as we were able to park right outside the hall, we were easy set and ready.

* * *

The Springers were judged by Mrs. Sigrid Jarmer from Austria (53 ESS entered). First out was the junior males and we had "Dixon", Cardhu Ain't Got You, our young Australien boy entered. He was first out of 11 and was awarded with European Junior Winner 2014. Next "on the stage" was "Amigo" Ch. Sieger's Pure Gold. He won champion class and ended up winning CACIB males and also the titel European Winner 2014. "Keyla" Ch. Lordsett White Angel is still fighting to come back in top condition as it is only two month since her 13 puppies moved. But anyway, she was looking rather good and I decieded to bring her. Happy I did, she was in wonderful mood and went 3rd in champion bitches, beaten by two lovely looking ladies.

What I thought was suppose to be the surprise of the day was "Dixon" going BOB. So happy with our teenager! We had a few hours to relax before going in junior group and the group final.

Best junior in Group 8 was judged by Mr. Korda František (CZ). To our most joy and pride "Dixon" won, and to be honest it was hard to believe that the success wasn't over.

Group 8 was judged by Mr. Milos Kaspar (CZ). I think all of us beeing in top 8 was a bit confused during the nomination of the five winners. In the junior group they placed only 3, so as they placed 4 it seemed that "Dixon" and I had made it to the semi finals, but in doubt the rest stayed put in the mainring and as they called the "angliske springer spaniel" as the winner, I had a quick look around to see if that really was the case! It was... I started smiling and telling "Dixon" "do you really believe this?" as we were running towards the judge. So very happy and proud - and I would like to believe the "Dix" was the same ;)

Best In Show was up shortly after. 3 dogs was placed and we were not among them. Absolutely nothing to be ashamed off, as we had been winning so much more than we very could have imagined on this day. "Dix" was starting to get tired - he was not as much outgoing as he was in the groups. Who can blame him, he is so young and this experience was new to him. The music was loud and he had many new impressions. I was so so pleased with his behavior and he made me so proud all day long. He is a beautiful young man with the most funny character and qunique personality.

A big thank you goes out to all our friends for a lovely trip, to all of you who was congratulated us and was cheering for us. A warm thanks to EUKANUBA for two lovely days in Brno, wonderful company, cosy dinner and for your attention. We are grateful!

The biggest thank you is still to be said! Jan Waite, who could ever believe that you would ship such a puppy our way? A "Thank you" is not near enough, but THANK YOU anyway <3 Hope to be able to return "the favor" once!
